The summer has finally officially begun, and we began the week with two new clients, both celebrating new arrivals!
First.. the anticipation… some lovely new clients with an amazing house (including a rooftop pool!) that set the stage for some stunning maternity portraits!
Later that day, the arrival! A fun family with two adorable boys.. both bright and bubbly, one a little more bouncy and one just as sweet as a baby should be!
New clients with a brand new baby on the way… doesn’t get much more new than that! These two were impossibly cute, so sweet and SO excited about the upcoming birth of their new baby, you couldn’t help but love them!
Dad was so sweet, helping pick out clothes and actually being involved in the session (take notes, guys!).. he was so proud of her, so in love with her and the beautiful baby belly she was spouting, it was heartwarming to watch
And Mom kept attempting serious faces for us but failed miserably.. finally giving up with a laugh and saying “I can’t help it, I’m a smiler!” And I’m guessing that by December she’ll have so much more to smile about!

My new employee was on the clock from the moment he arrived.. not returning phone calls or emails, but just curling up into a delicious little bundle that i couldn’t help but want to photograph!
I am thrilled to introduce Roman Scott, born August 31, 2008 to my sweet assistant Erin and her darling husband Scott. Big brother and sister are understandably smitten, and I couldn’t be happier for the entire family.
But you don’t care about how I feel.. I can hear you screaming at the computer now… let’s see the pictures!!!

Ann Beck Photography’s staff has just expanded.. in a big way! The absolutely fabulous Erin, who so many of you have come to know and love as the go-to girl for all things pre and post session-related, the only person around here capable of actually returning a phone call or email within a month, the one who has been my left AND right hands for the last year, spent Labor Day Weekend in the most literal sense.. giving birth!
We are proud to welcome the new little guy, who will join a hopelessly adorable family, complete with a brother and sister who are sure to be the most doting and attentive little helpers ever seen! I’m sure we’ll have some fantastic pictures to show you soon, but for now just send your positive thoughts their way as they ease into this new way of life.. and some prayers for me as I adjust to life without my Girl Friday for a few months!
and by the way… how fantastic does she look for being 9 months pregnant in these pictures? I am beyond jealous!
This nightly ritual of mommy & daughter story time will have a new set of ears to listen in..
This group hug will have a new set of arms to cuddle in tight…
This nice, round canvas for little sister’s masterpiece will disappear…
Giving way for this yet-t0-be-named little one to join the family…
But I’m guessing these hands will still find a way to be this messy.

Just a few for this ever so patient mom, who has been anticipating these photos almost as much as she is anticipating the arrival of this little bundle of joy! (Okay, probably not even close.. but I know she’s excited at least!)
Baby is due to arrive any day now, so good thoughts are with the whole family as they wait out these last precious moments before the world as they knew it shifts dramatically, forever.

Wow.. I just realized that my last post on here was post #200! That makes this #201.. and how cool is that? I can’t believe that I have that much to say.. or rather that there are still people reading!
In honor of the big milestone.. a few fun announcements! First, the holiday contest nominating someone special for a complimentary session and proof collection… the winning entry came from Becky Heller, for a special family friend and their brave little boy awaiting a kidney transplant! I received a number of really sweet and touching notes from my readers with a variety of motivations.. but this was one I just couldn’t turn down!
And the other fun.. since we are post #201… I’ll be offering a $201 gift certificate towards your print order for any spring sessions booked within the next 48 hours.. until Wednesday at 5pm. So if you’ve been planning on getting your session scheduled but just can’t get around to calling.. now is the time! The offer is only good until Wednesday night!!
Okay not MY bump.. should clarify THAT one really quickly.. but the previously blogged baby bump of my beautiful BFF and her boy-to-be. We’ve finally hit the 36-week pictures.. yes, she is a tremendous sport for putting up with this.. and I can’t wait to post some progression images when I get them all edited.. we laughed at the difference as soon as she got dressed!
For now, a few sneak peeks of my favorites.. this first one I just loved.. I don’t know why..
And one of the three women that will be doting on, dressing, adoring, and driving this little boy crazy for the next twenty years.. or longer…
And finally.. the shirt I bought the night before at the mall.. I passed it in a teen boutique and could NOT help myself. I’m shocked (and a little jealous!) that it fit (a juniors size medium!!) but thrilled nonetheless.. it was exactly what I was hoping for!
Again, she’s been so wonderful to humor me and my crazy suggestions… just wait until she finds out what I’ve got planned for these newborn pictures!
At least that’s my goal… and he isn’t even born yet! My BFF is getting BIG with her first BOY so I’ve been stalking her for some PICs! (Ok that last one didnt really work, but I almost had it!)
This is our third go round on belly pics, which I normally do NOT shoot so it’s been good practice.. at least that’s my excuse for forcing her to model for me every 12 weeks! But really… as good as she looks… can you blame me?
Only three more months to go… then the baby paparazzi in me will let loose for real!
These two are! Is there any sweeter bliss than waiting for a new arrival… one week from now their lives will be dramatically different as they go from couple to family.. from husband & wife to mom & dad… such sweet anticipation!
